So wow, its been a long time since I have sat down and put any thoughts into a blog...well so here is a new one...
The month of May was one chaotic month for myself and my bride Callie, first I got sick, I never get sick, and I am not talking sniffly nose, ugh I am sick, I am talking, go to the walk in clinic and get prescription drugs sick, previously it had been 10 years since I had seen a doctor, but I was about one day from ending up in the emergency room with an internal bacteria infection...but I got a shot and some drugs and all was good....
then we finished the semester out with final exams at seminary, and then the following saturday we got married, went on a mini honeymoon to Arlington, including the Fort Worth Zoo, which is kind of cool, but the buffaloes were missing which was kind of sad...and then we went to Lake City, CO for a week, and we had to wear long sleeves and turn on the heater because its cold there in May....
Then at the end of May we packed up all of our stuff and moved to Robert Lee, into a house that the owner is renting to us, but at the same time trying to sell it, which is a wierd feeling when you are sitting in your living room and people are looking at the house, wanting to buy it,which would basically make you homeless....
So yeah that was May, just a tip for anyone who was considering it, don't finish a semester, get married, get a new job, and move to a totally new town...all in one month, unless you really want to...then yeah go ahead and do it
Fiesta Texas
So I went to Fiesta Texas this past Monday..... first on a side note I don't do theme parks, roller coaster add no value whatsoever to my enjoyment of life.....but other people love em, so I took my book and read while others waited in line thirty minutes to go on a ride which is 60 secs long...
The only ride that is truly worth riding is the train the goes around the whole theme park....I could ride that thing all day long...all day long....
Fiesta Texas also has a water park and they have a thing called a lazy river and that was awesome a tube floating nothing could be better, but some kids didn't get it, its a lazy river, meaning don't work...but here they were dodging, diving, swimming to get ahead...and i thought the lifegaurds should be blowing thier whistle, "5 minute time out until you learn to be lazy" yeah six flags can take that one to the bank...
Another thing six flags could take to the bank is Nap Land:An adventure of mattress quality.....yep, just a big room with places to take naps......I would pay twice the entry fee for that....
anyways........six flags call me if you want to know more
